May Day flower crowns

A card band, a ring of leaves and the flowers nobody minds you picking. Crowns on, and a procession through the woods.

How it goes

1. Fit a strip of card or a bendy willow ring round each child's head.
2. Talk about which flowers can be picked: daisies, dandelions, buttercups, never bluebells.
3. Weave or tape leaves and flowers onto the band.
4. Hold a May Day procession or a crowning round the fire circle.
