Delete it yourself, in the app

The quickest way is to do it yourself while signed in: go to My profile → Account & security → Delete my account (or open the delete page directly). You'll confirm with your email and password, and your account is closed straight away — we email you to confirm.

If you're the only owner of an organisation, we'll ask you to transfer ownership first so it isn't left without an owner.

Prefer us to do it?

If you can't sign in, email hello@forestschool.app from the email address you sign in with, using the subject “Delete my account”. Sending it from your own address lets us confirm the request is really you. We'll action it within 30 days (usually much sooner) and email you to confirm when it's done.

What we delete

When you ask us to delete your account, we permanently remove:

• Your login and sign-in credentials.
• Your practitioner profile: your name, email, phone and headline.
• Your personal compliance record that travels with you: DBS and first-aid details, qualifications, CPD log, and your profile photo.

What may be kept, and why

If you've worked for a forest school, the records you helped create there (session plans, registers, observations, incidents and safeguarding notes) belong to that organisation as the data controller. Organisations often have a legal duty to retain child-protection and incident records for a set period, so these are not removed when you delete your personal account. To ask about records an organisation holds, please contact them directly, and we'll support them in responding.

We also keep limited billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

If you run your own forest school

Deleting your personal account is separate from closing the organisation itself. If you'd like to close it and remove its data, email us first and we'll help you export your records and then delete them, so nothing you need is lost.
