One-off sessions, blocks and whole terms
Schedule a single taster, a half-term block or a full term of weekly sessions in one go, each with its own site, capacity and stacked risk-benefit assessments. Families see what's open and book the dates that suit them; you see who's coming to every session at a glance, and who's on the waitlist if a place frees up. A term can take a deposit on the block price, a family ticket covers several children for one price, and at the last step families agree to and sign your terms and conditions, so every booking keeps the exact terms they saw.
Free for practitioners: the forest school subscribes
Every leader, assistant and volunteer has a free account. Only the forest school (the provider running the sessions) needs a plan, and one plan covers the whole team and unlimited bookings. A freelance leader working on their own is on Solo (£8 a month, VAT included); a forest school with staff is on Team (£29 a month flat, VAT included). Bookings and payments are included on both. If you take money through the app, we charge 1% (VAT included) when we collect it for you, and Stripe's card fee is separate. Do families need to download anything?
No. They tap your link, choose a session and book with just their email: no app, no account. To manage bookings later, they enter their email and the code we send, on the website or in our app if they'd rather. Either way, it's your photo and your logo they see at the top.
What happens when a session is full?
You set the capacity per session. Once it's reached, further bookings go onto a waitlist automatically, and you can see exactly who's waiting if a place opens up.
Can families cancel or update details themselves?
Yes. From their portal they can cancel a place, keep allergies and consents up to date, and see the observations you choose to share from their child's day, so your records stay current without the back-and-forth. Refunds are yours to give from Bookings, with the Stripe reference and the maths shown, and cancelling a date handles its bookings for you.
