Ten things from the woodland floor under a cloth. Look for thirty seconds, cover them, take one away: what's missing?

How it goes

1. Collect ten natural objects: a feather, a cone, a stone, a leaf, a seed.
2. Lay them on a cloth and let everyone look for thirty seconds.
3. Cover them, take one away, and uncover.
4. Whoever spots the missing object chooses what goes next.
5. Harder: send children to find a match for each object from memory.
